A Bit About Us

The Hightimers perform a yearly Christmas Pantomime and an array of musical and dramatic shows. The name comes from the groups connection to Boroughbridge High School, where the Society was founded in 1985. Now, however, The Hightimers play from the Coronation Hall in Milby.

Members are involved in all aspects of theatre production, from script writing to front-of-house, set design to choreography, musical arrangement to lighting design, and of course, performing. Anyone in the Boroughbridge & District area is invited to join, contribute, and learn in any role within the Society.

With a strong focus on the social side, The Hightimers encourage teamwork and discipline. From pre-production, through rehearsals, performances, and the final breaking of set, the Society is a place to have fun and work hard, all to bring together the finest of shows.

The Society has strong connections with the community. Profits from shows and events go toward donations to local charities and organisations, supporting their goals for the District. The Hightimers also receive sponsorship from local businesses; support that is vital as production aspirations grow.
